Mr. Richard Edmond Armstrong's Obituary
Richard Edmond Armstrong, age 56, passed away April 6, 2015. He was born on November 16, 1958 in Nashville to the late Edmond Davis and Mildred Virginia Armstrong. Preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Ben Carter. He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Beth Armstrong; faithful companion and pet Lab, Sam; sisters Virginia Mitchem (Joe), Donna Fluty (Dale), Reba Carter, Carolyn Davis, and Jackie Armstrong; mother and father-in-law Martha and Curt Templeton; brother-in-law Leslie Templeton (Kandy) and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
Richard worked at Graphic Process in Customer Service for over 36 years. He loved to run and participated in several half marathons. He helped coach basketball and baseball, but above all else, he loved being at home with his family.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, April 9, 2015, 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home with Bobby Strickland officiating. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers will be Steve Mofield, Jeff Mohan, David King, Mike Collier, Al Falcon, and Tom Ervin. Dawn Cayll will be an honorary pallbearer. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday 4:00-8:00 p.m. and Thursday 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Alive Hospice or Sumner County Humane Society.
