Mr. Richard E. Farmer's Obituary
Richard Farmer, 71, of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, July 18, 2022. Born August 9, 1950, in Nashville, he was the son of the late Henry Farmer and Lola Mae Kuhn Farmer.
When Richard was 17 years old, he went to work for Steiner-Liff downtown. He stayed there until he retired after working his way up to foreman. He was a loyal employee with a wonderful work ethic. Every day he’d wake up and go to work like clockwork. In 1984 he’d meet a lady named Shirley who would eventually become his wife. She and her son showed Richard that there was more to life than working. He learned to enjoy traveling and being a family man.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Farmer in 2019.
He is survived by his son Paul (Shirley) Neighbours, Jr.; grandchild Casey Neighbours; a niece Donna Collins; and his 4 legged friends Neyland and Fletcher.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 20, from 4 PM until 8 PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home in Nashville. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Thursday morning at 10 AM with entombment following in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
Arrangements entrusted to Spring Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN 37216. “Where Nashville Comes to Remember.”
