Richard Franklin Adkinson's Obituary
Richard Franklin Adkinson, age 83, of Greenbrier, TN passed away on July, 25, 2012. He will always be remembered for his love of people and his passion for the Lord. He was a pastor and preacher in the Baptist faith for 63 years, and was still pastoring even up to the time of his death. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Marilyn Adkinson, 2 infant sons, and sons, Richard L. Adkinson and David R. Adkinson. He is survived by his grandchildren, David L. Adkinson (April), and Amy Roberts (John), great-grandchildren Bailee, Bryson, and Bella, and brother, Sidney Adkinson. Active pallbearers will be Danny Crabtree, Randy Chowning, Allen Nash, Jimmy Ratzer, Jimmy Spain, and Howard Moll. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Robert Graham and the members of Light’s Chapel Baptist Church. A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2012 from 12-8pm, and on Sunday, July 29, 2012 from 1-5pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home. A funeral ceremony will be held on Monday, July 30, 2012 at 10am in the chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home, with Dr. Robert Tyson, and Jim Mulholland officiating. Interment will follow the funeral in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
