Mr. Richard O. Holt Jr's Obituary
Richard O. Holt, Jr, age 93, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2018 in Nashville, Tennessee. Richard was born on July 7, 1925 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Richard O., Sr and Mary Adell Holt.
Mr. Holt served his country proudly in the Army during World War II as a member of the Combat Engineering Squadron. He would later be awarded a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star for his bravery in action. After the war, he operated his own sheet metal company. Richard was a member of the VFW Post in Madison, TN.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Helen and a son, Carl.
Richard is survived by his son, Bruce (Donna) Holt of Strafford, MO; daughter Marianne Walker of Madison, TN; grandchildren Kelly Fulson, Carl Eugene Holt, Jr, and Jennifer Gwaltney.
Visitation will be at Spring Hill Funeral Home 5110 Gallatin Road in Nashville on Sunday, December 16, 2018 from 4 PM till 8 PM. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, December 17, 2018 at 12 PM Noon. Burial will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery with military honors.
