Richard was a hard-working family man. He worked as a truck driver, a welder, and for Metro Bordeaux Hospital in housekeeping. He retired in 2001. In his little spare time that he had, Richard enjoyed watching movies, and he was particularly fond of Westerns and Military movies. He married his precious wife Ruth on October 9, 1958, and this year they would have been married for 61 years. Together they have built a beautiful family, and that family will carry on Richard’s legacy for years to come. He loved and cherished his family with all his heart, and made many sacrifices to provide for them. The only thing that was more important to him than his family was his faith. He was a member of Dickerson Road Baptist Church. He loved the Lord and Richard has always said that his wish is for all his loved ones to find Jesus before He comes back, because He is coming soon.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 13 from 4pm-8pm, and again on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 from 1pm-2pm, with a Celebration of Life Service beginning at 2pm. Burial in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery will follow. Spring Hill Funeral Home has been entrusted with the final care of Mr. Stahl. 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, Tennessee 37216.
