Richard Wayne Gore Sr.'s Obituary
GORE Sr., Richard Wayne; Age 70 of Ashland City passed away June 4, 2012. He was born in Davidson County on January 26, 1942 to the late Joe and Alma Gore. Richard retired from CSX Railroad where he was nicknamed "Senator." He loved Golf and being outdoors and was a 1960 Graduate of East High. He was preceded in death by his brother, Wendell Gore. He is survived by his children, Valerie Mayfield, Rick Gore, David Gore, Joey Johnson, Bethany Trammel, Andrew Gore; close loves and companions, Judy Fitts and Deborah Gore; grandchildren, Tim Garrigus, Josh Garrigus, Cortnie Gore, Thomas Gore, Cassie Gore, Rachel Gore, Jacqueline Gore and Ashley Gore; great-grandchildren, Talyn, Kiley and Douglas Garrigus. A funeral ceremony will be held on Thursday June 7, 2012 at 2:30 PM in the chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home with Pastor David Lay officiating.Visitation will be on Wednesday from 3-8PM and 1:30-2:30 Thursday at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery where pallbearers will be, Josh Garrigus, Tim Garrigus, Henry Batts, Doug Mayfield, David Eatherly and Bill Hester.
