Rickie Bruce McKinnon's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. Rickie Bruce McKinnon on September 30th, 2023, in Hermitage, Tennessee.
Rickie was a beloved son to Billy McKinnon and Margaret Miller McKinnon; a precious brother to Lisa, Vickie, Joyce, and Michael; an amazing uncle to his many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews; a joyful resident of Mid-TN Supported Living; and an incredible friend. He was born on November 24th, 1951, in Nashville, Tennessee, along with his twin sister, Vickie. He never met a stranger and knew exactly what to do to make you laugh. He had a special place in his heart for animals and young children, and loved his family more than words could express. His jovial and kind spirit leaves a void that cannot be filled by another, for there was no one like Rickie. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, Rickie is preceded in death by his sisters Vickie Lynn Stewart and Joyce Ann Wingfield, and brother Michael David McKinnon. Left to cherish his memory are his sister Lisa (Brad) Tyler; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; his family of caregivers; and a host of extended family and dear friends.
The family cordially invites guests and relatives for a time of visitation on Tuesday, October 10th, 2023, from ten o’clock in the morning until the funeral ceremony at twelve o’clock in the afternoon with burial to follow at Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN 37216.
