Mrs. Rita J. Ballard's Obituary
Rita J. Ballard of Nashville, TN passed away January 18, 2018 in Davidson county. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lucian and Gladys Johnson; brothers, Harry Johnson, Ralph Johnson, Lucein Jr. Johnson, Edwin Johnson; sisters, Edith Garton, Edna Deal, Rebecca Vanns, Faye Shaw, and Annetta Yates.
She is survived by her loving husband, John Carl Ballard; sister, Nancy Able; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rita worked for Genesco for 44 years. She loved playing basketball in high school and would even miss the bus and walk home so she could play. Rita was a devoted member of Riverwood Church of Christ. She touched the lives of so many and will truly be missed.
Visitation with the family will take place on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from 12- 1pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will take place on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at 1pm.
