Mrs. Wiles was my Recess Teacher at Brick Church Elementary then came with us to Ewing Park as my PE teacher and basketball coach for 3 yrs. I went back to visit her several times while I was in high school. She was my favorite teacher, mentor and dear friend. I lost contact with her and later had heard she had an accident. I have looked for her for years but could not find her. I happened to read the newspaper today while waiting for an appointment and there I saw her name and cried. She was a huge positive impact in my life during my grade school and teen years. She took the time to listen, gave me guidance and shared some of her personal life stories often while giving me rides to and from basketball practice and games. Kirra, and family, my sincere condolences. I will always carry Rita Wiles in my heart.

I well remember Rita and Billy from Goodlettsville High School class of 1959. Both were dear friends whom I admired and enjoyed. My deepest sympathy goes to Billy and the family in their loss.
