Mrs. Robbie Marie Smith Taylor's Obituary
Robbie Marie Smith Taylor, age 86 of Goodlettsville, passed away May 13, 2013.
Mrs. Taylor was born September 3, 1926 to Houston King and Kathleen Littlefield Coker in Harrisburg, IL.
She grew up in Harrisburg, IL and her family moved to Nashville in 1955. She operated a beauty salon out of her home for many years before becoming the assistant manager of the Retired Teachers Apartments in Nashville. She was a member of Dalewood Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband of 32 years, Billy C. Smith and son-in-law, John Talton. She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Windell Taylor of Goodlettsville; son, Blaine (Donna) Smith of Fairview; daughter, Margie Talton of Goodlettsville; step-son, Ron (Lauri) Taylor of Nashville; brothers, Jim and Larry Coker of Arlington, TX; sisters, Roberta Shoemake of Hendersonville and Nell Langford of Jackson, MO; grandchildren, David Wolfe, Dean Wolfe and Meghan Smith; great-grandchildren, Zac and Hayley Wolfe; great-great grandson, Christopher Wolfe and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services celebrating Mrs. Taylor’s life will be conducted at 11 A.M., Thursday, May 16, 2013 in Spring Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital.
