Mr. Robert Lee Cato's Obituary
Robert Lee Cato, age 88, of Gallatin, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2019 in Hendersonville, Tennessee. Robert was born on May 20, 1930 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late James Arthur Cato, Sr, and Ella Mai Hall.
Robert was a longtime member of Jordonia United Methodist Church. He was an excellent carpenter who seemed to be able to build or fix anything. He loved being outdoors gardening flowers and vegetables.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Verna Cato.
He is survived by his daughter, Harriett (Tim) Royer; a son, Gill “Grizz” (Ann “Tiny”) Cato; Grandchildren Stephen (Monica) Cato, Chris (Lauren) Hunter, Lisa (Corde) Sprouse and David Royer; great-grandchildren Summer, Hailey, Bryan, Patton and Colbee.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 22, from 4 PM to 8 PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home. A celebration of life funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 23, at 11 AM at the funeral home with family receiving friends from 9 AM until the time of the funeral. Burial will follow in the historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
