Mr. Wanye was a special friend to me. We went to church at Long Hollow together and went on the same mission trips to Canada. When I would go back to visit my hometown, I would always look for him greeting before or between church services. He was truly a friend through a dark and hard time in my life. Him and Laura were my prayer and support parents through college. They would send me packages of cookies or other things in the mail and usually I would get it when I was feeling my lowest. He was a man who loved God so much. You could tell just through his smile. He listened without judgment, and cared for others as God cared for them.
I will truly miss this dear man, friend, and brother in Christ this side of heaven! My heart hurts so much for you Laura and family!!!! I know you have lost such a great friend, husband, father, brother and someone who deeply loved your family. ALL MY HEART TO YOU LAURA!
