Mr. Robert Brewer Evans Sr.'s Obituary
Robert Brewer Evans, Sr, 76, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at his home. Born October 19, 1943, in Nashville, he was the son of the late Jesse L. Evans and Mable Rebecca Terrell Evans.
A loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Mr. Evans always put his wife and family first. His generous spirit, playful sense of humor and strong sense of right and wrong were much-loved characteristics, and great examples for his children. He was a retired architect who had been both self-employed and had worked for the state.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson Shawn Mixon; sisters Becky Ann Allen and Carol Behne.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Elizabeth Evans; children Denise (David) Robinson, Robert “Bobby” (Dawn) Evans, Jr, and Annette (Paul) Billings; grandchildren Angel Mixon, Shannon Mixon, Michael (Jennifer) Mixon, Serena (Al) Snow, and Charlotte Robinson; great grandchildren Andre, Bradley, Elijah, Stacey, Malaiya, Tayden, and Tatianna; brother Gordon (Susan) Evans.
Visitation will be held Monday, August 31, 2020 from 11 AM until 2 PM at which time a Celebration of Life Service will be held at Spring Hill Funeral Home, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN, 37216. Burial will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
