Robert K. Christofferson's Obituary
Robert Christofferson, born 9/9/1922 to Jennie and Walter Christofferson in Kenosha, WI, went to be with Jesus on March 28, 2012. Brothers Dean and Davis and sister Lorraine (Clifford) O'Neil preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joy; Brother Richard (Carol) Christofferson; son Robert (Windey); daughter Carol (Mike) Gore; foster son Phillip (May) Agnell; grandchildren Pamela, Sandra, Stormey, Mistey, and Hailey; great-grandchildren Amberlynn, Christopher, Aaliyah, Sammey, and Kelsey. During WWII he served on the submarine Bowfin, and returned to attend college to be an accountant. After receiving Christ as his savior, he served Him faithfully by working 33 years for The Gideons Int., was treasurer of churches where he also served as Trustee and Elder; he served on the board of Pioneer Christian Academy. He loved young people and pleased his family and friends with camping trips, athletics and vacations. He was known for his puns and quips. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 30, 2012 from 4-8PM, Saturday from 11-1PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home, followed by a service at 1PM in the chapel, with Rev. Rob Morgan of the Donelson Fellowship officiating. Memorials may be made to the Gideons Int. or to The Donelson Fellowship youth work. Pallbearers will be fellow Gideons, Dean Cooley, Bill Walters, Chris Basescu, Art Bowman, Don Neal, and Owen Morell. Honorary pallbearers are present and past Executive Directors Craig Warner, Jerry Burden, Wendell McClinton, and Joe Henderson, as well as Dr. Frank Bruce.
