I also seldom post anything but wanted to in this case. Bob was in my class and fraternity at Davidson. I remember him as being a pretty quiet but funny and likable guy. Another classmate and I spent a weekend during some late winter time with Bob at their place down near a barrier island. The biggest excitement was us working together to put out a brush fire in the grass in the sand dunes....not sure it was very necessary but seemed like something we could throw ourselves into.. I also remember meeting his father when we went by their homeā¦.and being impressed that he was studying to take the Allergy Boards at whatever his advanced age seemed to be (probably all of 50 years old). Plus he had a stand up lectern on which he had the materials for studying. He was pleasant but reserved, kind of like Bob.
I really liked Bob. I don't think I ever saw him at a Davidson reunion and wish I could have talked with him about how he came to go into Psychiatry, as I also am a Psychiatrist.
I send my condolences to his family.
