Mr. Robert H. Kemper's Obituary
Robert H. Kemper, age 97, of Nashville passed away Friday, October 2, 2015. He was born February 10, 1918 in Nashville to the late Robb Hunter and Lula Mathes Kemper. He is also preceded in death by the mother of his children, Edith Bolton Kemper. Robert served his country in the Army Air Force during WWII where he developed a love for airplanes. He also enjoyed wood working and listening to the short wave radio. In his down time, Robert could be found on the golf course, a love which earned him several trophies. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Robert is survived by his wife, Patricia Kemper; daughters, Madelaine S. Gaffney, Marilyn K. Lehr and Melanie Ann Kemper; step-children, Robert L. Randall, Connie Graves, Cindy Anderson, Glynda Loudermilk, Kathy Dillard and Glenn Sasser; 4 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; eleven step-grandchildren; and 12 step-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 7th from 5 – 8 p.m. and Thursday, October 8th from 10 – 12 p.m. at Spring Hill Funeral Home. A celebration of life funeral ceremony will be held at 12 p.m., Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
