Robert Jackson McEwen's Obituary
Our beloved Robert Jackson McEwen, a hardworking and humble husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on July 7, 2025, in his hometown of Nashville, TN. Born on April 13, 1947, in Nashville, Robert lived a life filled with love for his family and the great outdoors. Robert never met a stranger.
From an early age, Robert found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved fishing and hunting for rabbit and squirrel, often sharing these adventures with us. Our family fishing outings at local rivers or his favorite pond are memories we will cherish forever. He had a knack for turning ordinary moments into treasured memories.
When not exploring the outdoors, Robert could be found watching western movies, cheering on WWE wrestling, or enjoying an episode of "The Price Is Right." His laughter and enthusiasm were infectious, filling our home with warmth and happiness.
A true provider, Robert was always a hard worker dedicated to supporting his family. He worked for several local cemeteries, but most enjoyed his time looking for scrap metal and being his own boss. His confidence and entrepreneurial spirit were an inspiration to us all.
Robert's generous and kind nature touched everyone he met. He taught us the value of humility and hard work, not through words but by living those principles every day.
We will miss his unwavering support, his stories, and the way he brought us all together. His legacy of love and strength will continue to guide us.
Rest peacefully, Robert. Your spirit lives on in the hearts of those who love you.
Those who have passed on before him are his parents, Tommy and Dorothy McEwen, and his loving wife, Linda McEwen, daughter in law, Michelle McEwen.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are children, Robert E. (Cheryl) McEwen, Brenda (Keith) Briggs, Steve McEwen, Sandra (Tim) Hawkins, 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, 2 sisters and brother.
