Robert Olen Holloway's Obituary
Robert Olen Holloway, age 60 of Ashland City, TN lost his battle with cancer at home on April 5, 2012. Mr. Holloway was born November 30, 1951 in Monterey, TN to Clyde and Theda Tudor Holloway. A proud Army Veteran, Mr. Holloway served in the Vietnam War. He worked as a crane operator and was a proud member of Union 369. He was a devoted husband and loving father. He was preceded in death by his parents and nephews, Kenneth “Kenny” Holloway and Samuel McCloud. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Janet Holloway; son, Allen Holloway; daughters, Kimberly (Brian) Walker and Misty (Luis) Ortiz; brothers, James Larry (Martha), David (Kandy) and Wendell (Pam) Holloway; sister, Sue Duffey; grandchildren, Austin Walker, Paige McAmis and “LA” Ortiz; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. A celebration of Mr. Holloway’s life will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday April 10, 2012 from the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home with Deeanna Wall and David Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Monday, April 9, 2012 and from 12:00 P.M. until 1:45 P.M., prior to the service on Tuesday at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the National Vietnam Veterans Foundation.
