Mr. Robert "Bob" Rowen's Obituary
Robert “Bob” Rowen, age 91, of Hermitage, passed away Friday, December 04, 2015. He was born August 6, 1924 in Norwood, Massachusetts to the late Raymond and Katherine Rowen. Bob is also preceded in death by his son, Brian Rowen; daughter, Katherine Taylor; brother, John Rowen; and sister, Muriel O’Toole. Bob loved to learn, he earned his Master’s Degree and also held a Doctorate in Education. He was a college professor for many years. Bob also enjoyed taking photographs and collecting cameras.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joan Rowen; daughters, Laurie Fosbinder and Beth Creasy; sons, Mike Rowen, Tim Rowen, Robert Rowen and Patrick Rowen; sisters, Ethel Lambrecht and Virginia Hopgood; grandchildren, Ashley Adams, Brandy McConnell, Jennifer Fosbinder, Bobby Fosbinder, Wendy Fosbinder and Tansie Iwafuchis; great-grandchildren, Julie Adams, Kalie Adams, Emma Edwards, Riley Edwards, Zoe Iwafuchis and Harry Iwafuchis
The family will receive friends Thursday, December 10, 2015 from 9 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held at 12 p.m. Thursday, December 10, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
