Mr. Robert Lee Smith's Obituary
Robert Lee Smith, age 72 of Nashville, TN passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2013. Mr. Smith was was born June 3, 1940 in Vandalia, IL. He served in the Selective Services of the U.S. Navy. He was very respected in the entertainment community and had built the Let Us Entertain You Company. He had booked such acts as Jay Leno, Ray Charles, Bill Cosby, Steve Martin, Willie Nelson, Charlie Daniels and many others. He loved golf and taught his children the game. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester and Thelma Niehaus; brother, Bill Smith; and niece, Amy Smith. He is survived by his wife, Jo Anne Smith; sons, Jeffrey Smith and Jon Smith; daughters, Stephanie Smith, Christy Smith Leemon and Sandy Smith; son-in law, Tim Leemon; grandchildren, Josh and Jake Leemon, Tyler Collins, Emily May and Alyson Smith; brother, Larry Niehaus and sister, Patty Bramel. A celebration of his life will be conducted 3 P.M. Saturday, March 16, 2013 from the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M. on Friday, March 15, 2013 at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Honorary pallbearers will be Woddy Keene, Eddie Millard and Jessie Mann.
