Robert Weir Crankshaw's Obituary
CRANKSHAW, Robert Weir "Shaw" Age 64 of Madison passed away Sunday, December 5th after a lengthy battle with diabetes. Shaw proudly served in the US Navy as a Navy Corpsman. He was wounded in battle in Vietnam in March of 1969. He received the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star for his service in Vietnam. He was a member of Rolling Thunder and Disabled American Veterans. Shaw was a very talented artist, musician, and writer. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Valeria Crankshaw. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Marlee Crankshaw; daughters, Stephanie (David) Zachariason, Jennifer Crankshaw, Katie (John) Torbus; son, Chris (Jamie) Crankshaw; brothers, Charles Crankshaw, Joe Crankshaw, and Tom Crankshaw; sister, Shelly Garrett; grandsons, Christian and Chris; granddaughters, Hayley, Ashley, Makayla, Briana, Nova, Meadow, Riley, Scout, Keilie, Maddox, Kendall, Aveedaze, and many nieces and nephews. Donations may be made to Operation Stand Down, 1125 12th Avenue South, Nashville TN 37203. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 11th at 12 Noon.
