Mr. Robert Easley Whitson's Obituary
Robert Easley Whitson, age 86 of Nashville, passed away April 10, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Linnie Whitson; his beloved wife of 65 years, Emma Jean Whitson; brothers, Fred, Andrew and Lester Whitson; brother-in-law, Howard Van Hook; sister-in-law, Sadie Murray and son-in-law, Ronny Graham.
He is survived by his children; sons, Robert “Punkin” D. (Linda) Whitson and Barry E. (Polly) Whitson; daughters, Cynthia Graham, Lisa Bell (Keaton) and Lori Stovall; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Helen Van Hook; and brother-in-law, Bobby Murray.
He was a long time member of 501 Trinity Lane Church of Christ and he retired from the National Guard as a Command Sergeant Major. Graveside services with military honors will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2013 in Spring Hill Cemetery with Barry Todd Whitson officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 A.M. until the time of service at Spring Hill Funeral Home.
