It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Mr. Roland Wilson Coles, 90, of Nashville, TN.
At his passing, he was reunited with his wife Leona Sue Coles, who he was wed to for 59 years. He is also preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Eugene Coles Sr. and Teddie Wilson Coles; brothers, Jesse E. Coles Jr. "Pete", Elbert Coles, Carl Hall, Robert Hall, Alvin Coles, and Marion Coles.
Roland spent his working years as an aircraft technician, restoring airplanes, and nationally recognized for his knowledge of aviation mechanics. He was well educated in aviation all around, but had an exceptional love and wealth of knowledge for the P51Mustang.
He was an avid outdoorsman, spending many days in the woods hunting and time on the banks fishing, he embraced the beauty that nature had to offer.
Those left to cherish Mr. Coles memory are his two loving daughters, Marye Helen Minor (Danny), and Patrice Coles; two granddaughters, Kristen Eady (Jeff) and Nicole Bastin (Bobby); three great grandchildren, Reagan, Savannah, and Gabe; and many friends.
