Rolly E. Thompson's Obituary
Rolly Edward Thompson, age 86, Of Hendersonville passed away on February 14, 2013 after a long illness. Ed had a distinguished career with Independent Life Insurance Company after moving to Nashville from Minor Hill, TN early in life. He is preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Onabell Thompson; brother, Vernon Thompson; his wife of over 50 years, Betty Jo, daughter, Cindy Ann Maxwell. He is survived by his wife, Eloise Hewgley Thompson; son, Ralph Edward (Cynthia) Thompson, granddaughter, Nicki (Michael) Bess; grandson, Ralph Edward (RJ), Jr. (Crystal) Thompson; great-grandsons, Braxton Bess and Luke Edward Thompson; brother, Herman (Francis) Thompson, Jr.; several nieces and nephews. Ed was a past member of Donelson Church of Christ before moving to Hendersonville Church of Christ. His family will receive friends from 4 – 7 p.m. on Sunday, February 17 at Spring Hill Funeral Home and on Monday from 1q a.m. until his Celebration of Life Service at 12 p.m. from the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home with David Swanger officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Interment will be in Hermitage Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions should be made to the Lester Church of Christ Flower Fund at the Lester Church of Christ in Lester, Alabama.
