Mr. Ronald Miles Grendell's Obituary
Mr. Ronald Miles Grendell, age 85 of Antioch, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021. He was born on April 16, 1936 in Mapleton, Maine to the late Miles and Mary Grendell. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Vivian Laing Grendell, children Jay Grendell, Tammy Black, and Tonya Owens and their families.
Ronald was born and raised in Maine, and as a young man he proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. After moving to Tennessee from Maine in the 1960s, he got into the furniture upholstery business and purchased his own shop. That shop eventually made its way to Ronald and Vivian’s home where they ran the business together for over 50 years, before Ronald passed the trade down to his daughter Tonya.
Ronald loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and enjoyed spending time with them. He also loved dancing, especially ballroom dancing, which he and Vivian taught for over 30 years. He also enjoyed bowling as well.
