Mr. Ronald F. Soares' Obituary
Ronald “Ron” F. Soares, age 60, passed away peacefully at home, on Monday, August 19, 2019 in Nashville, Tennessee. He was born on October 2, 1958 in Modesto, California to Frank Soares, and the late Melva Soares.
Ron was a man who loved life and lived it to the fullest, proudly serving his country in the U.S. Navy, playing high school sports, and sharing his love for his drums, music and his Chargers football team. He also owned a successful business, and acted as crew chief for the Toxic Rocket TFH race boat team. Ron retired from S And S Diesel, and he and his wife Beverly moved to Nashville four years ago to be near their children and grandchildren. In this short time, Ron made many new friends due to his friendliness and willingness to always help others. His presence will be greatly missed by all who had the fortune to know him. He was his family’s only son and brother.
Ron is preceded in death by his mother Melva, and his sisters Sherry Meadows and Kami Soares.
He is remembered with love by his wife of 30 years, Beverly Soares; his daughter Samantha Redding and husband Chris; his son, Matthew Soares and wife, Jessica; his grandchildren, Rylan and Nolan Redding, Caley Soares, Jackson French, and Aston Martin; his father, Frank Soares and wife Theresa Magby; his sisters Dawnetta Soares and husband Bob, Connie McGirk and husband Jim, Tami Soares, and Janeene Bebout and husband Rob. Ron is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and countless other friends who loved him.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Donelson View Baptist Church, 2049 Lebanon Pike Nashville, Tennessee 37210. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2019 from 9 am until 11 am at the church. Interment will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN 37216.
