Ronald Lee Stilz's Obituary
Ronald Lee Stilz, 76, of Madison, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2023. He was preceded in death by, his loving wife of 47 years, Cornelia “Faye” Stilz, parents, Annie Mai and Arthur William Stilz, Jr. and a brother, Larry Pruitt.
Mr. Stilz is survived by his devoted son, Brian Stilz and his wife Melinda, his cherished granddaughters, Addison and Madilyn Stilz, and close brothers, David Stilz and William “Billy” Stilz and his significant other, Gwendolyn Bryant.
He attended East High School where he excelled both on the football field and the baseball diamond. He graduated in 1965. Following his graduation, he answered the call to serve his country and joined the United States Army. His bravery, discipline and commitment were evident as he served with honor and pride.
After completing his military service Mr. Stilz pursued higher education at Nashville State College where he earned his associate’s degree. He was a diligent and passionate student, demonstrating the same dedication to his studies that he had shown in his athletic pursuits.
One of Mr. Stilz’s greatest joys in life was spending time with his granddaughters, whom he loved dearly. He was a source of wisdom, guidance, and unwavering support, leaving an enduring impact on their lives.
Sports held a special place in Mr. Stilz’s heart, and he was a devoted fan of Vanderbilt University athletics and the Tennessee Titans. His enthusiasm for the games was infections, bringing joy and excitement to those around him.
The family cordially invites relatives and friends to visit on Monday, October 16th from four o’clock in the afternoon until eight o’clock in the evening at Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Road in Nashville. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, October 17th set to commence at two o’clock in the afternoon with an hour of visiting prior to the service. The service will be conducted by Pastor Tim Stutler. The rite of committal will immediately follow at the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
