So sorry to here of ronnie passing. Although we have the same first and last name. And both loved bluegrass and both from mount airy. He has always been such a great person and a wonderful inspiration to so many people. GOD bless the family . RIP. Mr Bowman.
My heart goes out to the friends and family. It breaks my heart to see such a great and talented man go. But I know he’s going home. May the family and friends find comfort in knowing that he will rest easy in the Arms of the Lord. I know he has a place in the Heavenly Band. From one musician to another Rest easy Brother ❤️
I met Ronnie at Bobby Bare's house years ago. He to us Kenny Chesney had just recorded one of his songs. Met Garrett there too. They all played acoustic guitars and sang. What a great Easter. RIP Ronnie
I had the honor and pleasure to meet Ronnie at the Renfro Valley Bluegrass Festival. It was right after he had just wrote Three Rusty nails. He was the kindest soul. This man pulls up at our camp on a golf cart, wearing bibs and a white tee shirt. He had told my brother in law that he wanted him to hear this new song he just wrote. Ronnie sat by the camp fire singing and his voice was like heavens choir had serenaded us that night. I didn’t at the time know of Ronnie and he brought tears to my eyes. I remember telling my sister, wow he is amazing and is going to be a big star. Of course I was kind of new to bluegrass scene, my sister and everyone there started laughing, my sister said umm Ronnie is big. I wanted to die right there. Ronnie just laughed and said I’m really not, but thank you for the compliment. He was such a kind and down to earth man. That night I absolutely fell in love with his talent and the person he was. He will forever be my favorite of all time. I know Heavens choir is sounding so much sweeter with him. Fly High Ronnie, you will Never be forgotten.
So sorry for your loss. Sending prayers to Ronnie’s Family, Friends and the Bluegrass Community🙏🙏

You, your welcoming friendly smile and your beautiful contributions to music are and will be missed. I’ve followed you for many years. You reignited my love for Bluegrass. Which l strayed from as a teenager. First time l was introduced to your lovely wife, Garnet was at Graves Mtn Syria, Va. when she sang a song with you. At your band table you were always so nice. Like speaking with someone I’d known all my life. Rest in Peace Ronnie 🙏offering sincere sympathy and prayers for comfort to Garnet, your children grandchildren, and all family and friends.
