Ronnie Clinton Mangrum Sr's Obituary
Ronnie Clinton Mangrum, Sr., 73, of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, July 16, 2023. Born March 17, 1950, in Nashville, he was the son of the late William Houston Mangrum and Mary Odessa Locke Mangrum.
Ronnie was a member of Donelson High School’s graduating class of 1968. He served his country proudly in the maps division of the Tennessee Air National Guard Reserve and the United States Navy. Mr. Mangrum used to be Assistant Manager with HG Hills, worked at Waller Buick, was employed with Avco and eventually retired from DuPont. He was a member of Our Father’s House Church and a Mason with the Jere Baxter-Edgefield Masonic Lodge. His family will remember him as a prankster who loved his family, good food, and working on cars in the paint and body shop he ran at home.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Gary W. Mangrum and sister Saundra South.
He is survived by his daughters Kelley Mangrum and Mandy Warrick; sons Ronnie Clinton Mangrum, Jr. and Joshua Lynn (Donna) Mangrum; grandchildren Andrew Paulson, Hailee Paulson, Preston Warrion, Clint (Kaley) Mangrum, Jordan Mangrum, Kelsea Mangrum, Shelby Mangrum, and Madison Hay; great grandchildren McKinlee Paulson, Stella Rae Paulson, Emberlyn Mangrum and Everly Mangrum.
Visitation took place on Saturday, July 22 from 4 pm until 8 pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home in Nashville. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service was held on Sunday, July 23 at the funeral home at 2 pm. Military graveside honors will take place on Wednesday, August 2 at 2 PM at Nashville National Cemetery.
