Roscoe C. Bearden Jr.'s Obituary
BEARDEN, Roscoe C. Jr., Age 84 of Nashville, TN passed away March 16, 2009, surrounded by his family. He was a loving husband and father and he will be greatly missed. R.C. was a member of Riverwood Church of Christ, Past President of the AFL-CIO: CWA, retired from BellSouth, and a Veteran of the U.S. Navy where he served in the South Pacific during WWII. Mr. Bearden is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marie Lovell Bearden; son, Mike(Cindy) Bearden; daughter, Terrie(Mike) Tidwell,; brother, Larry(Shirley) Bearden; sister Jewell Lenox; grandchildren, Brian Tidwell, Chay(Derrick) Hamilton, Taylor(Deanna) Bearden; two grandchildren, Stacey Lee Tidwell and Shane Baxter preceded him in death; great grandchildren, Samantha Baxter, Brooke Hamilton, and Lucas Hamilton. Funeral services will be on Thursday at 2PM in the chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home with Dustin Welch officiating. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5-7PM at SPRING HILL FUNERAL HOME & CEMETERY 5510 Gallatin Road at Briley Parkway, Nashville, TN 37216.
