Rose Marie Dudney's Obituary
Rose Marie Dudney, 85, of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, sadly passed away April 1, 2024, at Hendersonville Medical Center. Rose was born July 3, 1938, in Hanover, Germany, to the late George Dudney and Wilma Schelper Dudney.
In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her brother, Pete Dudney; and her half-sisters, Joan Smartt and Belle Harris.
Rose is survived by her nephews, Brian (Danyell) Dudney and Bill (Robin) Dudney; nieces, Pam (Tommy) Coppinger, Sandy (Scott) Martin, and Debbie (Joe) Bush; and several great-nieces and nephews.
Rose was born in Germany and moved to the United States with her family in 1948. Rose was a strong independent woman. She loved history, art, design and travel. Rose was well educated and held several degrees including both a BA and MA from Vanderbilt University. Later she studied interior design and received a BA from O’More College of Design. She worked in the German department at Vanderbilt for 20 years. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A graveside will be held on April 8, 2024, at 11 o’clock in the morning at the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
