Rose Laberinto Vicente Hooper's Obituary
Eufrocina "Rose" Laberinto Vicente Hooper passed away August 11 2023. Born January 1, 1942 in Panguil Philippines to the late Pedro and Leoncia Vicente. She came to America in 1967 after finishing nursing school in Thailand and traveling through Europe. She was affectionately known as Rose or Rosy her whole life. She began working as an ER nurse and was in the newspaper for being the first Filipino nurse in her hospital. She was a hard worker and was happy that her hard work was able to help her mother and siblings come to America. She loved her family dearly and was very proud of their accomplishments.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers Zosimo and Benigno Vicente and the loving father of her daughters James Hooper.
She is survived by her big family. Her daughters Alona May Hooper and Eydie Grant. Son-in-law Donovan Grant. Grandchildren Ashlee, Austin, Alexie, Felicity and Ashtine. Great grandchildren Brantley, Chloe and Damon. Her siblings Hermogenes, Pastor, Alona, Josephine and Apollo. In-laws Grace, Ellen, Pablo and Kathy. Nieces and nephews Christopher, Mandy, Victoria, Jordan, Veronica, Josh, Jonathan, Sherwin, Elibeth, Shari, Chris, Von, Bryan, Ann Rechelle, Vivien, Mathew, Alexa and Gabriella. Great nieces and nephews Preston, Olivia, Lillian, Addison, Vivian, MJ, Kyle, Theodora, Ethan, JJ, Ryan, Toni Mae, Tovieneil, Tonivie, Keyden and Arabella.
The family invites friends and relatives to join them for a time of visitation on Thursday, August 17th, 2023, from four o'clock in the afternoon until eight o'clock in the evening at Spring Hill Funeral Home, with a rosary service taking place at seven o'clock at the same time. A funeral mass will take place on Friday, August 18th, 2023, at ten o'clock in the morning at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with burial to follow at Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
Arrangements for Ms. Hooper are entrusted to Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, "Where Nashville Comes to Remember."
