Granny was the kind of person who could light up a room with just her smile. She had a way of seeing the good in every situation, even when things were hard. Her positivity wasn’t just a personality trait it was a way of life. She taught us that no matter what we face, there’s always something to be thankful for, always a reason to keep going, and always a blessing to be found.
Her faith in God was the foundation of everything she did. She didn’t just talk about her love for the Lord, she lived it. Whether it was through her kind words, her warm hugs, or the way she prayed for us every single day, Granny showed us what it means to walk in faith. She trusted God with every part of her life, and that trust gave her a peace and strength that inspired everyone around her.
But perhaps what we’ll remember most is how she gave freely, joyfully, and without expecting anything in return. Her love knew no limits. Whether it was a home-cooked meal, a listening ear, or a quiet word of encouragement, Granny gave from the heart. She taught us that giving isn’t about what you have it’s about who you are. And she was love, through and through.
To Austin and Anderson, Granny was more than just a great grandmother she was a cheerleader, a storyteller, a prayer warrior, and a best friend. She believed in both with all her heart, and she was so proud of the young men they’re becoming. Her legacy lives on in your kindness, your strength, and your faith.
To Monica and I, she was a rock. A source of wisdom, comfort, and unconditional love. She taught us how to be strong, how to love deeply, and how to live with grace.
Granny may no longer be with us in body, but her spirit is woven into the fabric of our lives. Her laughter, her prayers, her unwavering belief in the goodness of people those things will never fade.
We love you, Granny. Thank you for everything. We’ll carry your light with us always and we will see you again!
With Much Love Mark, Monica, Austin and Anderson Gunter
