Mrs. Roswitha Lewis Crawley's Obituary
Roswitha Lewis Crawley, age 72, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2016. She was born August 23, 1943 to the late Julius and Freida Faust in Thaleischweiler-Froschen, Germany. Preceded in death by her parents, father and mother in-law, Carl and Mary Crawley; son Christopher Crawley; her brothers and sisters. She is survived by her loving husband, C. Doug Crawley; son Brandon Lewis (Patty); daughter Alicia Lewis Prosser (Rick); brothers Adolf Faust (Lara) and Ewald Faust (Ericka); grandchildren Lydia Ward, Constance and Connor Crawley, Shawna and Seth Blair; great-grandchildren Kya, Emileigh, Adileigh, Aubrey, and Mackenzie.
Roswitha came to the United States in 1965 and became a US citizen. She was a hairdresser with Castner Knotts for many years. She enjoyed golfing with her lady golfing friends at both Temple Hills and Harpeth Hills Golf Courses; ruby mining in North Carolina, and spending time with her local German Club friends. She had a contagious smile and laugh that would light up any room that she entered. She was a wonderful wife and mother and will be missed by so many.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 26, 2016, 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be Saturday from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Spring Hill Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Research Hospital.
