Roy F. Hinkle, Jr.'s Obituary
HINKLE, Jr., Roy Franklin- Age 68 of Pleasant View passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2011. He was known in the business world as Jack Franklin. He was born to the late Roy Franklin and Ophelia White Hinkle, Sr. He is survived by his loving wife Gail Moffit Hinkle; son, Roy W. Hinkle; sister, Mary (Steve) Moore; granddaughters, Ashley and Amanda; one great granddaughter; niece, Rebecca (Chris) Dandrea ; one great nephew, Chase; best friend and former business partner, John Pratt; and good friend, Steve Stratz. He was owner of Bushido Karate School on Nolensville and Gallatin Rd, one of Middle Tennessee's first and largest karate schools. He was highly regarded in the martial arts community as a teacher of teachers- O'Sensei. He will be dearly missed by his students and those fortunate few that received a black belt from him. Donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans or the Salvation Army. Visitation will be 4-8PM, Friday, October 21st and a funeral service will be held at 2PM, Saturday, October 22nd with visitation two hours prior at SPRING HILL FUNERAL HOME & CEMETERY 5110 Gallatin Rd.
