Mr. Roy Lee Helmontaller's Obituary
Roy Lee Helmontaller, age 59, of Portland, Tennessee passed away on Friday, July 26, 2019 in Gallatin, Tennessee. Roy was born on April 17, 1960 in Carthage, Tennessee to the late John William and Clara M. Helmontaller.
Roy had worked at Matlock Trucking and Body as a welder. He was a jokester who loved football, baseball, shooting pool and boxing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son John Patrick Helmontaller and sister Deborah Ann Murr.
He is survived by his son David Roy Helmontaller; sisters Virginia (Joseph) Greer, Rhonda (Robert) Shoemaker, and Carolyn Cannon; 3 grandsons; several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will take place on Monday, August 5, from 4 PM until 8 PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home in Nashville. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, August 6, at 2 PM at the funeral home with family receiving friends from 12 PM until 2 PM. Burial will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
