Roy L. Whitaker, age 77, of Hendersonville went to be with his heavenly father Wednesday, January 20, 2016. He was born September 9, 1938 in Nashville to the late Erby and Gladys Whitaker. Roy is survived by his wife, Myra Whitaker; son DeWayne Whitaker (Dallas); daughter, Kala Bunnelle (Terry); grandchildren, Casey Whitaker, Ashley Moon, Brandi Rayne Whitaker, Aaron Bunnelle, Sherea Bunnelle and Michael Bunnelle; great-grandchildren, Aidan Whitaker and Sohia Moon; sisters, Mary Brown and Margaret Stanley (Charles).
Monday, January 25, 2016 the family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m.. at Spring Hill Funeral Home with a celebration of life funeral service following at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers serving, Casey Whitaker, Aaron Bunnelle, Michael Bunnelle, Jerry Simpson, Dale Clark, Bob Green, Lester Hale and Jon Hassell.
