Ruby Ann Edens' Obituary
Ruby Ann Edens, 91, of Bethpage, TN, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 26, 1934, in Nashville, TN, to Charles and Hazel Morphis.
Ruby married the love of her life, Floyd Edens, and together they shared 54 wonderful years of marriage. Their home was filled with the joy, energy, and laughter of seven children—five beautiful girls and two rough‑and‑tumble boys.
Ruby had a special gift for growing flowers, and her yard was always alive with color. She cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren, whether talking, playing, or simply being together. Holidays were especially dear to her, as they brought everyone under one roof. She and Floyd also treasured taking the grandkids to their favorite campsite at Hidden Valley in Centerville, TN, creating memories that will be held close for generations.
Red was her signature color—fitting for a woman named Ruby, whose warmth and vibrance brightened every room. She had a remarkable ability to find joy in life’s simplest blessings and taught those around her to do the same.
Her love, strength, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Hazel Morphis, husband Floyd Edens, son, Kenny Wayne Edens, brothers, John Hollis Morphis, Joe Morphis, Garland Morphis, Alton Morphis, Billy Morphis, and Paul Morphis, and sister, Martha Kendle.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters Reva Weems, Patricia Watkins, Donna Henson, Astor Hodges, Jana (Bob) Anderson, Devra DuFresne, son Danny (Kathy) Edens, 25 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 9 great great-grandchildren and one on the way.
Arrangements entrusted to Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Pike, Nashville, TN 37216, 615-865-1101, https://www.springhillfh.com
