Ruby Elizabeth Shelton's Obituary
SHELTON, Ruby Cope, age 89, of Hendersonville, was born March 30, 1920 and passed away Friday, May 22, 2009. Mrs. Shelton was retired from the State of Tennessee Dept. of Safety. She was a member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church and in recent years had attended Hendersonville First Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Shelton was preceded in death by her husband, James Richard Shelton; and her parents, Franklin D. and Annie E. Cope. She is survived by her daughters, Gayle (Wayne) Casey of Hendersonville, and, Betty (Micheal) Sells of Pleasant View; four grandchildren, Stephanie Stanley, Michelle Kinkade, Jennifer Walker, and Suzanne Harris; four great grandchildren, Katelyn Kinkade, Andrew Kinkade, Ryan Harris, and Elizabeth Walker; and a sister-in-law, Gene Cope of Brentwood. The family will receive friends from 1-7pm Monday and again from 10am-12pm Tuesday at the Spring Hill Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 12pm Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery.
