Mr. Rudolph "Rudy Fulghum's Obituary
Rudolph “Rudy” Fulghum, age 103, of Goodlettsville, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2015. He was born July 19, 1911 in Kingston Springs, TN to the late Eugene and Evie Dillingham Fulghum. Besides his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife of 73 ½ years, Gladys Odum Fulghum, who was the star in his eye and the love of his life. Rudy was a member of Inglewood Baptist Church since 1936 where he served as a deacon and church treasurer and he regularly attended the Dudley Miller Sunday School Class. He was the oldest graduate of Nashville Central High School and retired in 1976 from Swift Packing Company where he worked as a supervisor. Rudy spent time working in his beautiful yard and garden and also enjoyed wood working. His family remembers him as a man who loved God, Family and Church.
Rudy is survived by his daughter, Gayle DePriest (Wilton); grandchildren, Ashley DePriest, Brent DePriest (Janice) and Christian DePriest; great-grandchildren, Katherine Claire and Christian DePriest.
The family will receive friends from 4 until 8 p.m., Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at Spring Hill Funeral Home.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 18, 2015 in the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home with Dr. Kevin Schrum officiating. Interment will follow in the Meadow Ridge section of Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
