Mrs. Ruth W. Craighead's Obituary
Ruth W. Craighead age 88 of Nashville, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2015. She was a longtime member of Jackson Park Church of Christ. She was a graduate of Prospect High School and Draughons Business College. Ruth worked in the Accounting Department at General Electric Supply and Eller Brothers Construction for several years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Lee Craighead; sister, Helen Arthur; brothers, Thomas White and Sumpter White and her grandson, Andrew Craighead. She is survived by her sons, Larry (Vicky) Craighead and Thomas (Edna) Craighead; sister Jean (Tom) Dollard; grandchildren, Matthew Craighead, Hailey Craighead, Jamie Craighead and Joseph Craighead; nephews,Ferrell White and Jimmy Dollard; nieces, Sandra Burdett and Linda Mooney.
Her family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Sunday, May 10 at Spring Hill Funeral Home. A Celebration of Mrs. Craighead’s Life will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Monday, May 11 from the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Olive officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the Elders and Deacons of the Jackson Park Church of Christ. Interment will follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
