Ruth Louise Kenney Moore's Obituary
Ruth Louise Kenney Moore, age 87 of Madison, passed away Monday, December 3, 2012. Mrs. Moore was born in Mt. Juliet, TN on February 21, 1925 to Charles Spurgeon and Mattie Gertrude Jennings Kenney. She was a long-time member of Neelys Bend Church of Christ. She was born and raised on a dairy farm in Wilson County and was married to Robert H. Moore for 54 years. Truly a Christian woman, Mrs. Moore took care of the elderly, driving them to appointments or simply giving her time to help those in need. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert and son, Terry Moore. She is survived by her sons, Philip (Karen) and Sam (Jina) Moore; grandsons, Cody and Stan Moore; brother, J.T. Kenney; sister, Ann Davis; six great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and multiple nieces and nephews. A celebration of Mrs. Moore’s life will be conducted at 11 A.M., Thursday, December 6, 2012 from the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home with Norman Slate officiating. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 P.M. until 8 P.M. on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Spring Hill Funeral Home.
