Sallie Squires Jansen's Obituary
Sallie Squires Jansen, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on March 11th, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her parents, John H. Squires and Billye Squires, and her brother Tom Squires. Sallie is survived by her devoted husband of 16 years, Rick Jansen, her cherished son Tucker Petre, and her adored grandchildren, Hannah, Will, Grace, and Cate. She is also survived by her brothers, Jim Squires, John G. Squires, and Raleigh Squires, as well as her faithful companion, her dog Cookie.
Sallie's zest for life was evident in her passion for travel, particularly to the beach and on cruises, where she found joy in exploring new destinations with her loved ones. As a dedicated member of the Nashville Corvette Club alongside her husband Rick, Sallie found camaraderie and excitement in their shared love for the open road and Corvette cruises to fun destinations.
A fervent supporter of the Tennessee Titans, Sallie's enthusiasm for football never wavered in the ups and downs of her team. Beyond sports, she found solace and inspiration in her beloved Bible Study Group, where she nurtured her faith and forged lasting bonds with fellow members.
Sallie's unwavering devotion to her Catholic faith was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and shaping her character. Her kindness, compassion, and unwavering loyalty endeared her to all who knew her. Sallie will be remembered for her quick wit, her warm smile, her generous spirit, and her ability to bring joy laughter to those around her.
In honoring Sallie's memory, let us celebrate the remarkable life she lived and the love she shared with everyone fortunate enough to have known her. Though she may no longer walk among us, her spirit will continue to shine bright in the hearts of those she touched.

The family cordially invites you to visitation on March 22, 2024, from 4 o'clock to 8 o'clock at Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, Tennessee, 37216. A Funeral Mass will be held March 23, 2024, at 10 o'clock in the morning at Holy Family Catholic Church in Brentwood, 9100 Crockett Road, Brentwood, Tennessee, 37027. A reception will follow. Sallie will have a private inurnment at a later time at Spring Hill Cemetery.
