Mrs. Samantha Kay Isbell Parker, age 57 of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Friday, February 24, 2023. She was born on October 27, 1965 in Lexington, Tennessee to the late Wayne Isbell and Linda Pickett Robertson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather Willard “Buddy” Robertson. She is survived by her loving husband of 27 years, Gary A. Parker, siblings Tony Robertson, Pam Robertson, Lisa Britt, Kirk Isbell, and Rodney Robertson, daughter in heart Amanda Henley, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of extended family and friends.
Samantha was born and raised in Lexington, Tennessee where she attended and graduated from Lexington High School. She worked at Brown’s Shoe Factory in Lexington when she met the man who would become her husband, Gary Parker. They met through a Single’s group, and Gary stole her heart when he sent her three yellow roses. Gary and Samantha were traveling buddies and partners in crime, and sometimes they would just take off driving and get lost on an adventure together. Samantha is remembered as being a phenomenal cook, and she was known for her down home southern style of cooking. She served her community for 18 years as an associate at Walgreens, where she made many friends and impacted many lives by letting the light of Christ shine through her everyday life, her shining smile, and her sparkling personality. She never met a stranger, and came to know many customers at Walgreens by name, and after meeting Samantha, they quickly went from customers to friends. Samantha was a loving person with a generous spirit, and would go out of her way to help anyone she could. She was also a loving and doting Fur Mom to her babies Bubba and Sissy. Samantha was loved dearly by everyone who knew her, and she will be missed greatly.
Samantha’s generous and giving spirit has continued on even in her passing, as she was able to donate life to others through organ donation. So in lieu of flowers, the Parker family has requested that donations be made to Donate Life Tennessee, and implores anyone who is able, to sign up today for the Tennessee Donor Registry.
