Mrs. Sammie Fulton's Obituary
Mrs. Fulton passed away peacefully on December 10th, 2019 at age 73. A retired school teacher dedicated to improving the lives of everyone she encountered, Sammie never ran away from a challenge. She selflessly taught countless individuals how to read and write — but most importantly, how to be their absolute best. The strength and grace within her was undeniable and contagious.
To quote her favorite writer, William Shakespeare, “All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players. They have their exits and their entrances.” Sadly, this has been her exit from this stage we call life, but my how she masterfully played the part of a loving mother, devoted wife, loyal friend, and role model for all who knew her. She will be missed but never forgotten.
Preceded in death by her parents, Erla and Samuel “Kermit” Totty. Survived by Richard L. Fulton, her husband of 47 years, son Wade (Molly) Fulton, and brother Howard (Sharon) Totty.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, so that future generations may never know the pain associated with the disease.
