Mr. Samuel (Bo) E. Sexton's Obituary
Samuel Earl Sexton “Bo,” age 86 of Madison, Tennessee, died Monday, September 21, 2020 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.
Bo Sexton was born on January 20, 1934, in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Cleatus Julia Womble and Earl A. Sexton. He was raised in Jackson before serving honorably in the U.S. Army. Bo retired from the Metro Water Services while also umpiring baseball and softball for over 35 years in Nashville and all over the Southeast. An avid sports fan, Bo loved cheering on his Kentucky Wildcats, bowling and fishing alongside his wife of 63 years.
In addition to his parents, he preceded in death by his sisters Peggy Woods, Betty Sue Blanton and his grandfather William Sam Womble.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Shirley Sexton; son, Robert (Teresa Jo) Sexton, daughter, Sheila (Mike) Williams; grandchildren, Ryne (Morgan) Sexton, Shane (Rachel) Williams, and Jennifer Paige (John) Tomkins; Great grandchildren, Hannah Grace Williams, Elizabeth Rose Tomkins and Abigail Lee Williams; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Bo will be held on Monday, September 28, 2020 at Spring Hill Funeral Home, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN, 37216 from 11 AM until 2 PM at which time a Celebration of Life Service will be conducted from the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
