In high school at Ellet, I thought that Samuella would be an opera singer. From reading her obituary, it sounds like she had a rich, full life to be proud of. Nice going.

Doug:
Sorry to hear that Sammy has passed on. I remember the time that she visited the Rumford, RI Church while I was a student pastor, and of course, we spent some time on the same district in the 1980s. (Akron) Keep going while you can! I had to step aside last Thanksgiving, after Priscilla passed on in January.

Sammy was my only aunt by birth. She was only 13 when I was born and I am told by my parents that she adored me and called me her baby. My father, Ethan, was her oldest sibling. When Doug and Sammy were married 45 yrs ago, even though I was not a little girl, she had me in the wedding as her flower girl. I remember they bought me a two toned heart and cross necklace to wear at their wedding. I know she loved all her animals, she loved flowers and gardening in general. In many ways my course in life followed hers. We both played instruments in school although I never continued it. We also both suffered from the same blood disorder that caused her to never be able to have a child of her own womb. Thankfully due to modern science and medical intervention I was able to successfully carry two children to term after suffering repeated miscarriages.
I will miss her deeply but I know she is now with her Saviour as well as her parents, grandparents and siblings who have passed on before her. I also can imagine her singing in the heavenly choir with the renewed voice of her youth. There is no more suffering or pain there, I can only imagine what joy she feels
Doug and family, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. May you experience God's peace and comfort in the days and weeks ahead.

Bob and I were in the Pioneer class with Samuella at MVNC, She roomed around the corner from me the first year. The first thing I think of when I share about her is that she use to drink bottles of ketchup. She had a beautiful voice. We are so sorry to hear of her passing and send our condolences
