Mrs. Sandra M. Seiberling's Obituary
Sandra Marie Smith Seiberling, age 69 of Madison, Tennessee, passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2017. Born in Nashville, TN and raised in Nashville, she was the daughter of Mr. Lelon A. Smith & Mrs. Flora Fraser Smith of Nashville, TN.
Mrs. Seiberling was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Charles Frank Seiberling. Mrs. Seiberling is survived by two daughters; Fiona (Jim) Jackson and Leandra (David) Charron, two sons; Gerald Seiberling and Charles (Dashekita) Seiberling, six grandchildren; Chris (Hannah) Jackson and Tyler (Ally) Jackson, Daniel and Olivia Charron, and Alex and Kayla Seiberling, two sisters, Fiona Fraser Richards of Goodlettsville, TN & Margaret Carleene (Norman) Morgan of Evansville, IN. Mrs. Seiberling also leaves many beloved nieces and nephews located in several states and family in Waverly, TN as well as many close family members in her mother's birthplace of Glasgow, Scotland and also close relatives in Auckland, New Zealand.
Mrs. Seiberling was a member of Madison First Cumberland Presbyterian Church. In 1967 Mrs.Seiberling was a top 10 finalist in the Miss Nashville pageant where she met her future husband, and director of the pageant, Chuck Seiberling. Mrs. Seiberling was a housewife and, after all her children had started school, was a dental assistant for many years. As a young woman she loved riding horses and participating in horse shows. She was an accomplished artist from a young age and also loved reading and writing poetry. As a child she loved spending summers with her family in Waverly, TN.
Mr. Seiberling's memorial service will be held at Madison First Cumberland Presbyterian Church on Friday, July 28th at 1:00 p.m. with burial to follow directly at the Nashville National Cemetery in Madison, Tennessee. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Benevolence Fund at Madison First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
