Mrs. Sarah Hagemeyer's Obituary
Sarah Elizabeth (Cherry) Hagemeyer, age 97, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, July 8, 2017, in her home in Goodlettsville, Tennessee. Sarah was born on January 30, 1920 in Nashville, Tennessee to Edgar B. Cherry and Nannie (Forehand) Cherry.
Sarah was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed designing and sewing clothes for herself and her family. She was the daughter of a nurseryman; she loved plants and enjoyed growing flowers, fruits and vegetables. Sarah was a great Southern cook, receiving great joy preparing her special meals for her family. Mrs. Hagemeyer was a member of the Trinity Lane Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband of forty-three years, Harold William Hagemeyer and a sister, Mary Francis (Cherry) Maney.
Sarah is survived by two sons, Richard Lowell Hagemeyer, with his wife Carole, and William Duncan Hagemeyer; and her daughter, Nancy Lynn (Hagemeyer) Crooks and her husband Bill; four grandchildren, Evan Hagemeyer, Eric Hagemeyer, Emily Crooks Smith, and Nolan Crooks; two great-grandchildren, Harold Morgan Hagemeyer and Zoe Smith. She is also survived by a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM at Spring Hill Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be held with the family at the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery, with interment to follow.
Serving as pallbearers will be: Evan Hagemeyer, Eric Hagemeyer, Bill Crooks, Nolan Crooks, Ken Maney and Bobby Carver.
