Eric and Kris, so thankful you had Bitsy's service streamed. For us far away, it was a blessing to hear the final words about her. As we all know, she was special to all who met her. The service was as special as she was and I know she would have been so proud of her sons. You've both grown into such fine men....not sure when that happened but I must have blinked several times. Know that Floyd and I will be thinking of you and your families as you adjust to life without mom but I know you have memories enough to last your lifetime. Love you always.
Bitsy or Bits as some close friends called her. I, like Judy Baggott, grew up across the street from the Lawsons, Shade was an elder in the OH CoC. She was so vibrant of personality and a cheer leader for the Bulldogs. More than that she was a Barnabas to us all. I really believe that if there was such a thing she could be called a deaconess in the church.
Eric and Kris Jim and Bitsy were wrapped up in you and the family. When Jim and I played golf he told us all about it. You have a wonderful legacy to fulfill. Never let the world forget she and Jimmy. The leadership of your family has Old Hickory written all over. It was and still is GODs country. Your family continued to make marks on us as you went through Goodpasture and beyond especially as had my Linda for a teacher. She was a big fan of you boys and of course Jim and Bitsy as great friends.
Just think of the days on the first Tee of Heavens golf course. Jimmy tees off and Bitsy watches proudly. Be even more - How the Lord will say Well done enter into the joys that await you.
Yes and she made an impression on my Cynthia too.
We love you very much. We just could not come for illness/

I grew up across the street from Bitsy in Old Hickory. I never heard her called Sarah. She was always Bitsy to all who loved and admired her! And they are many. She will truly be missed by her family and all who knew her!
Bitsy was one of the godliest women I've ever known. You have to go no farther than reading all the many facebook posts of love for this woman as proof. I grew up in Old Hickory, attended OHCoC, was baptized there and loved so many members, but only a handful as much as Bitsy. There was no putting on airs, never any "better than thou", just down to earth caring and love for another human, as Jesus would have it.
I appreciated so much Bitsy and Melvas visits to my mother in her time of sickness and need. I know their love for our family was as real as our love for them.
Bitsy was an angel here on earth, and now, with "her Jim", an angel in heaven watching over us all. Rest in peace dear lady.
It is difficult to think of a world without Bitsy, her sweet smile and love for all . Rest In Peace dear friend, we had many sweet times together.
Bitsy came into my life in grade school in Old e env. She was little but made her presence known by friendliness and personality. She cheered for all the ballplayers and was ever ready to pump you up. Faithful to friends and if you met her she became your friend. Bitsy was the person I wish I could be. Small in size, don't know how she carried such a big heart.
Bitsy has been my mom Faye Baggetts dear friend since 3rd grade. Over the years she has become friends with me and my sister ,Lisa. After my son Wallys accident she was always there for him too. Bitsy will ne so dearly missed. Condolences to her family.
